Burn in Equipment

Achray Photonics makes custom burn in fixtures for optoelectronic and electronic devices. Once the devices (LDs) are mounted on ceramic carriers, they can be tested and monitored at elevated temperatures in order to assess the long term reliability and eliminate cases of early failures. Up to 300 and more devices can be tested at the same time in one oven. The electrical contact is provided by spring loaded pins, held in temperature resistant blocks. The electronic control unit allows data collection and real time monitoring. The system can be used to test LDs, pumps, detectors, modulators etc. Monitored parameters include: temperature, currents, voltages etc. Each system is custom designed and allows implementation of custom features such as alarms, reports, data storage etc. A typical system includes: oven, test rack and the control unit.
